  1. Enter the initial investment, final value, and any additional costs.
  2. Set the time period in years and a discount rate percent.
  3. List annual cash flows one per line, such as Year 1|25000, to model NPV and payback.
  4. Read the ROI, annualized ROI, NPV, and payback period, then copy or download the summary.

Questions

What is the difference between ROI and annualized ROI?
ROI is the net gain over the whole period, while annualized ROI converts it into a per-year rate using the time period you enter, so scenarios of different lengths can be compared.
How is the payback period calculated?
It accumulates the annual cash flows you list, in order, and reports the year — with a fraction — where the running total reaches the initial investment. If the listed cash flows never reach it, the payback shows as not reached.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
How is ROI calculated?
ROI = (final value − additional costs − initial investment) ÷ initial investment × 100. With the defaults, (1,50,000 − 12,000 − 1,00,000) ÷ 1,00,000 = 38%. Annualized ROI then spreads that over the number of years you enter.
