Writing clarity checker

An editorial clarity check looks for patterns that make writing harder to read, such as repetition, monotonous sentence lengths, and generic stock phrases.

Check writing for repeated words, uniform sentence lengths and stock phrases, with practical edits. Runs in your browser; it is not an AI detector.

Heuristic editorial signal — not ML detection and not proof of authorship.

How to use it

  1. Paste the text you want to review — at least the minimum target characters, 100 by default.
  2. Choose an analysis mode: balanced, strict editorial review, or humanization suggestions.
  3. Set the target tone you are editing toward, such as natural, professional, or technical.
  4. Review the signal, uniformity score, repetition ratio, and AI-pattern phrase count, then copy the report.

Questions

Can this tell me whether text was written by AI?
No. It highlights surface-level patterns — repeated words, uniform sentence lengths, and stock phrases — as editorial signals. It is not an ML detector and does not prove authorship.
What does the uniformity score mean?
It is a 0-100 heuristic built from word repetition, how uniform your sentence lengths are, and hits on common stock phrases. A higher score points to writing worth varying and tightening.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. The analysis runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
How can I make my writing less repetitive?
Vary sentence length, cut stock openers such as "It is important to note that", replace repeated words with specific ones, and lead with the concrete point. Re-run the check to see whether the repetition ratio and uniformity score fall.
