Questions

How is dimensional (volumetric) weight calculated?
Length × width × height in centimetres divided by 5000, a common courier divisor. The estimate charges the higher of the actual and dimensional weight.
Does it use live courier rates?
No. It multiplies the billable weight by the rate per kg you enter and by the service multiplier (Standard ×1, Express ×1.5, Premium ×2), then adds your handling fee and the optional insurance, a percentage of the declared value. Confirm actual pricing with your carrier before quoting.
Is my shipment data sent anywhere?
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
What is the chargeable weight of a 30 × 20 × 10 cm parcel weighing 2 kg?
Its volumetric weight is 30 × 20 × 10 ÷ 5000 = 1.2 kg, which is less than the actual 2 kg, so the chargeable weight is 2 kg. A larger, lighter box of 50 × 40 × 30 cm weighing 2 kg would be charged at 12 kg.
